    Gareth Beavis – why do you state “The Apple Watch Series 2 is a good watch, but not stunning – there are better out there on the market…..” and then never tell us which ones are better? Your statement leads one to believe there are not only one better, but perhaps more than 1. And if they are truly better, why aren’t they leading in sales? I’m not an Apple “fanboy” ranting against you, I truly want to know if there is.

    While I’m very disappointed in 3rd party app performance, I did read that watch OS 3 will fix that.

  2. Steve Philpot says:

    Wrong, wrong, wrong. As an everyday Apple watch user once again the review is an absolutely miss. Watch OS3 works just fine and I haven’t lost any battery life. I actually get 2 days of wear out of mine 7 am-9pm with a run every morning. The heart rate monitor I’m found is actually pretty accurate, it’s typically with 4 BPM of my Precor heart rate strap.

  3. Joel A. Edge says:

    I didn’t care for the first one. Couldn’t see a use for it, but the GPS on this one makes it useful.

  4. Steve Switzer says:

    Battery Life, for me anyway, has never been contentious.
    I don’t wear the watch at night, never have with previous timepieces, so it is natural to remove it and use at as very good alarm which charges it at the same time.
    I have yet to get down to less than 40% at the point I remove it from a quite early start.

    @TechRadar :
    Can you say something about changes in thickness between the original Apple Watch and the new series 2?
    I’ve read another Hands on Review, and they said that the series 2 is 1mm thicker than the old one.

    Apple wants you to wear this ugly thing all the time even when asleep but it barely last a day if you actually USE it so how are you supposed to use it if when you use it the battery dies quickly.

    1. macmanred says:

      Come on, read the Reviews! almost all users say that it usually lasts 2 days without a problem. So you ARE able to track your sleep with it. And where is the problem to quickly charge it while under the shower?

  7. gfurry says:

    “there are better out there on the market” I am curious what is better? Not on spec sheet but in real world live with it day to day use? How can you drop a quote like that and then not back it up?

        I see a mixture of reviews. Some say 2 days and some say barely a day. Just like a phone it depends on how much you use it. My iPhone lasts only a day but others don’t use it as much and can get two days out of it.
