    Hello?

  2. Diego Collier says:

And awesome, I have had so much fun with this thing already.

  3. Dr. Reinhold Marvin DDS says:

Slow reaction time of console gamers? :

I think I'm pretty quick in FPS or other action-oriented games on my PS3, PS4, or X360. :)

  4. Xzavier Kassulke PhD says:

Pick a different language to argue in; boy.

  5. Kaya Kertzmann says:

you pick a random comment on the internet and start a fight….i dont need a comeback, you're speaking for yourself.

  6. Alana Will says:

Clearly, since he was being rude with his name trying to irritate people I was making fun of him for that fact.

Counter a troll by trolling. (Or ignoring, but in this case I thought it was funnier to troll.)

  7. Prof. Eldred Bosco Jr. says:

    Hello?

  8. Ms. Jaunita Larson says:

I have 50 dollars to spare. I'll try it out after reading this and other reviews much like it. I have two friends that have been able to try the controller at PAX this year and they're split: One said it's weird and they won't buy it. The other says it's weird and they will buy it.

Knowing the Steam userbase, I'm sure I'll be able to see some really good use out of it due to the control schemes people can possibly cook up.

  9. Ocie Parker says:

I've been using a logitech thumb roller ball for portable gaming. Its
just as accurate as a mouse if not more, I don't understand why steam
would pick touchpads. Ask any gamer with a laptop if they use their
touchpad for shooters!! Two rollerballs would have made an epic
controller that could really have given the mouse and keyboard a run for
its money. Instead its just a cheap touchpad bolted onto a controller!!!!

  10. Aylin Cummerata says:

it took me quite some time to get it where I want it to be, but I am so loving this controller. I have to agree that the ABXY buttons are a little bit hard to reach, but HEY, still not enough to make me hate this thing.

  11. Mr. Major Stehr III says:

This review is horribly outdated and contains incorrect information, especially concerning the Gyroscope.

  12. Suzanne O'Kon says:

    Hello?

  13. Jackson Murazik says:

Wireless with a usb plug in and comes with a wired usb cord.

  14. Wilma Zboncak says:

@Nicolas Pino you said "To my knowledge, there are no games that support either the gyroscope or accelerometer, but I'm sure it's a matter of time until someone capitalizes on the new functionality."

This is missing the point of the controller – the user can choose how to map these sensors as they see fit – the whole point is the game doesn't need to support it.

Search YouTube for 'Steam Controller Gyro' and you will see people making use of it

  15. Neil Aufderhar says:

I just want a gamepad (like the xbone or 360 pad) with the right stick replaced with a track ball (as seen on the Logitech M570 for example).

This would give me the aim control sensitivity of a mouse, with the portability of a controller. (it may not be easy, or possible to do, depending on the space and layout required for the controller, but I am not an engineer). If more input buttons were needed you could ad rear tabs like on the xbone elite controller.

I know there are many who do not like track balls because they have a slight learning curve, but I thought that until I switched 2+ years ago after 13+ years of using a normal mouse.

I figure it is the aim sensitivity that is hard to replicate in most analog controllers, if something else, please feel free to enlighten me.

  16. Prof. Lacey Zboncak MD says:

    Hallo?

  17. Della Durgan says:

and you continue to prove my point…what a lovely person you seem to be.

  18. Dena Cole says:

Just like the fellow from Crazy People?

  19. Shakira Kuvalis IV says:

I play both platforms. Platformers/fighting games on consoles require a greater reaction time than a shooter on a pc.

  20. Lorenzo Grimes DDS says:

    Nice.

  21. Rosalind Skiles says:

    Yap, yap , yap.
You`re so successful at your comebacks.

Maybe its all the training in public loos?.

  22. Mrs. Mittie Kuhlman III says:

Agreed, I love it. I do wish there was just a little bit more spacing in the X,Y,A,B keys. The paddles are great as are the triggers and the touch pads. It's all about how much time a person is willing to spend. Like pc gaming, it's all about customizing. Not standard plug and play of a console. (Though, that's what user made configs from the community are for)

  23. Karina Heaney says:

The Dreamcast was the first IIRC to have controllers with little screens.

It didn't work out so well though, and I loved that console!

  24. Felix Franecki says:

You make more eminent sense than the jewbong

  25. Anabelle Waters says:

I can agree with the spacing on X, Y, A, B they could be just a tiny tiny bit more spaced though I've only one time inadvertently pressed the wrong button for them.

I think the only function on the steam controller I'm not the biggest fan of is the dual stage triggers, I have tendinitis and its hard for me to do the 2 pulls my hands just want to pull them the whole way but they do seem like they could be really handy and something I'm still trying to find good uses for.

Yep the community configs are essentially the answer to plug and play the only problem with them is they are someone else's config and you have to figure out how they bound everything still which takes almost as much time as making your own once you get good at it.
