  1. Mr. Thurman McKenzie says:

The article makes it sound as if the pushy upgrade practices are the only reason people have for not upgrading.
Couldn't be wider from the mark if it tried.
Many people have many varied reasons for not wanting W10, they range from the mentioned just being happy and familiar with what they have and run through a host of actual real issues that people have with data collection and other such unwanted behaviours within W10.
I have tried it and I didn't like it so I won't be getting W10 free or not.
As with myself it didn't get to the forced upgrades stage for many who had already decided not to change.
The decision was made many months ago.

  2. Dr. Osvaldo Raynor says:

What isn't mentioned here is that the upgrade can break your system.
We had a customer whose system was "accidentally" upgraded and it uninstalled most of his applications, including Microsoft Office 2010.
He lost a day's work and had to pay us to fix the mess.
Others have ended up with blue screens, or no boot.
Plus the Windows apps that are set as default (Edge, Reader, etc.) are still not fully functional.
